Dr. William W. Martin
William W. Martin DDS grew up in Bedford County and attended Lynchburg City Schools. He graduated from Washington and Lee University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia.
He is a member of the state and local dental societies, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists and the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics. He earned a Mastership in the AGD. He has post graduate training at the Pankey Institute and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Throughout his career, Dr. Martin has been interested in the perplexing problems associated with TMJ (now called TMD). There have been some exciting insights that can help TMD suffers live a pain free and more normal life. He is actively pursuing the attainment of a Fellowship at LVI.
Past local activities leadership roles include Peakland United Methodist Church, Lynchburg Kiwanis Club, Oakwood Country Club and the Road Runners. He was an Army medic in Vietnam. He now enjoys visiting their two daughters and four grandchildren, walking BooBoo (their Shih Tzu) with Margi, cycling and tennis.
